One TikTok live changed everything… Proving that passion, consistency, and creativity can open the most unexpected doors.
One day, I randomly scrolled into a TikTok live stream and discovered an artist whose music I connected with instantly. I kept coming back night after night because his sound felt different and real. Two weeks later, I created a fan page for him, just for fun. That artist happened to be connected with TLR Distribution, and he eventually introduced me to the owners. That moment changed everything and opened the door to one of the most meaningful chapters of my career. Today, that same artist and I are close friends.
As the Director of Content and Community at TLR, I managed the company’s entire social media presence and became the voice of the brand. I oversaw strategy and daily content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and more. My focus was simple: help artists grow, engage fans, and build brand awareness in a real and authentic way. I created branded graphics, short-form video edits, and promotional content that reflected the creativity of our artists while helping their music reach new audiences every day.
Beyond content creation, I also led the development of TLR’s Private Community, a space designed for artists to connect, collaborate, and access tools to support their careers. Building this community became one of the most rewarding parts of my role, as I was able to bring creators together and help them feel part of something bigger than just a distribution company.
The growth we achieved in one year was incredible. TLR’s roster expanded from 45 artists to more than 400. On TikTok, I grew the page from 100 to over 13,000 followers, generating more than 15 million post views, 1 million likes, and 40,000 comments, with 90 percent of reach coming from the For You Page. On Instagram, we surpassed 10 million views and grew the page to more than 7,000 followers through consistent, creative, music-driven content.
My time at TLR taught me the true power of storytelling, consistency, and community. It showed me how the right strategy and approach can turn an idea into a thriving brand presence that makes an impact.
